has been published as a poster almost continuously since 1991 and is currently under contract with Trends International. Over the years, it has sold more than a million copies worldwide, primarily in the United States and Canada. It is commonly utilized by schools, churches, businesses and other associations and appears on many positive web sites with the result of touching many more millions of lives. The piece has appeared on the book cover of “The Living Dreamer,” in the book "Your Dreams Can Come True," within various magazines, calendars, on the set of TV's "Sister, Sister", and is the subject of a book in progress. It is available in Spanish as "Para Lograr Tus Suenos Recuerda El Alfabeto"

Writing History
I enjoyed writing stories and poetry as a child. Inspirational pieces became a niche while serving in a church as a singer and songwriter, junior teacher, and youth leader from 1980 - 1983. While self-employed in the construction industry from l980 -1990, I wrote and produced marketing materials for several businesses. During the past five years I have created similar items for the promotion of EcoTourism and musical groups. I have also written and presented a variety of public speeches, tour presentations and short articles for local newspapers. This web site is my first attempt at being a web master and the site is somewhat outdated compared to my NEW SITE at http://InspirationMotivation.com where there are over 100 pages online that are continually updated.

I believe that my motivational and inspiring writings come as answers to my prayers, for the wisdom and strength I have needed to overcome a lifetime of challenges and hardships.

Positive Changes
occurred in my life after writing and following the “ABCs” in 1990. Choosing Hawaii to pursue my dream of being involved in and promoting EcoTourism, I accomplished this by becoming the Marketing Director, Tour Coordinator and Head Tour Guide for The Adventure Center at Senator Fong's 725 acre Plantation and Gardens in Kahaluu in 1993. My favorite job was leading international visitors on exciting four wheeling and mountain climbing expeditions.

There, I observed guests experiencing self-discovery, healing and transformation, especially while accomplishing personal challenges. Exploration and research of sacred sites revealed that some locations display accelerated healing properties. Gearing tours towards taking advantage of these insights led to the idea of developing a Self Discovery, Healing and Transformation Center®©. I have obtained a property owner's agreement for a 220 acre tract of pristine property in Hawaii and located many knowledgeable parties to lead and provide appropriate activities and relative services. I am in the process of seeking funding. My Resume for Eco-Tourism interests includes more information on this subject.

Work History
My working career began with raising my family on my own. (YES, I count that as part of my career. As anyone with children knows, it is a very demanding job which requires many skills and talents) My first paying jobs were in the restaurant business, first waitressing, then bar tending and finally moving into restaurant management. I soon decided that sales offered the quickest opportunity to better my income and my first attempt at this was in the insurance industry. Later, I became self-employed as a kitchen/bath designer and sales representative. This opened doors to representing a variety of construction products. Learning how to install such products became a necessity to improve my knowledge and insure my clients and workers needs were both met. I integrated this information into remodeling, interior design and decoration. I was self employed in this field.

After ten years in construction, I quit these activities to concentrate on my own household and to learn and participate in stock market trading and a variety of environmental and civil rights causes. During this time I read literally hundreds of books on religion, psychology, sociology, anthropology, archaeology, philosophy, quantum physics in laymen's terms and a variety of self help techniques. Many of these subjects came together in my mind when I invented the ABCs to help myself during a particularly difficult time in my personal life. I wrote them down to share with my family and friends and encouraged by my mother, I sent a copy to Dear Abby. When she published them a few months later, I was contacted by what was at that time, the largest poster company in the United States with an offer and a new career was born!

Being involved in EcoTourism, inspired to build a Self Discovery, Healing and Transformation Center®© and continuing my writing have been my life ever since. Throughout all of this, I have frequently planned, promoted ad produced special events with a focus on music. Additional skills acquired throughout my work history include people and business management, graphic and interior design, computer proficiency, marketing strategist and public speaking.

Personal History
I was born in Xenia, Ohio, but taken back to my parent's home town of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, when I was nine months old. I grew up there until my family moved to Saint Petersburg, Florida, when I was twelve. I moved back and forth between various cities in Florida and Tennessee for many years which were a very traumatic time in my life. I finally settled in Saint Augustine, Florida, where I lived for 14 years until I made Hawaii home for my EcoTourism pursuits and adventures. For the last three years I have been spending most of my time between Florida and Hawaii and took a trip to 8 countries in Europe for a couple of months last year.

Beginning in my childhood and throughout my life, I have experienced numerous trials, tribulations, challenges and hardships which are somewhat revealed in my web links to worthy causes and health issues. I continue to struggle to overcome many of the marks they have left on my mind, body and spirit.

I enjoy: writing, hiking, camping, mountain biking, four wheeling, yachting, swimming, snorkeling, horseback riding, exploring, educational travel, music of all sorts, decorating, designing a variety of things, artistic expressions in a mixture of mediums, making videos, photography, praying, searching my soul, reaching out to others
and most of all...
meeting and making new friends with positive people from all over the world!

And the best way to improve your country, is to start by improving your state,
Of course to improve your state, you should begin with your local county,
But it would be hard to improve your county, unless you first improved your village,
And the easiest way to improve your village, is to improve your very own family,
But you will never improve your family unless you first improve your SELF!

DERDEKA
Is the name of the angel of HOPE.
DERDEKA is described as being a female angel.
She was sent to earth to help save the souls of mankind
From the very beginning, I have been in dire need of such an Angel.
Possibly, this is why my father chose the middle name of HOPE for me.
He knew I would need it, although he could have never have known how much.
There have been many times when HOPE was all that I had.
I believe that DERDEKA is my guardian angel.
And I am thankful to have been in her care.
She is your guardian Angel too.
