Saying Good-bye To the Reservation Was Hard
We enjoyed every moment of our visit. In my opinion it was one of the greatest and truest Eco-Tourism experiences I ever had the pleasure to enjoy. The native Havasuw Baaja Indians, sharing and preserving their resources and culture in this manner is what Eco-Tourism is supposed to be all about. We flew out over all of the falls and this photo was chosen amongst many to share here because I think it well portrays the effects of the life giving waters in the midst of the desolation of the Grand Canyon. For hundreds of thousands of years, the rivers in the Canyon have flowed, carving with a slow but steady hand, one of the true wonders of the world. It reminds us that we exist here but for a moment in time, that we do not own the earth or any part of it, the earth owns us and that we owe it to ourselves, our mother earth and our future generations to value, care for and preserve this beautiful home which God has created and given to us to enjoy as much as to depend on for our sustenance. This is the last photo and journal of my trip.
