Like many racing wives, Sunnex serves as scorekeeper for Rover; she also wears the proud title of President of the Rover Jackson International Fan Club (understandably a very profitable undertaking). She wears many other hats as well: sweetheart, confidant, and informal PR person, as well as mother and the one source of sanity and stability in the household. Vocal, gregarious, and one of the most prominent wives on any pit lane, Sunnex doesn't let the female groupies bother her. Or the male ones, for that matter.
Sunnex once became engaged to King but dumped him after being on the receiving end of too many violent verbal outbursts. Although he never physically attacked her, she suspects it only would have been a matter of time.
Sunnex does not feel she rushed into marriage but wonders about early motherhood - not so much for her behalf but for Tyke. Rover's career had just begun its skyward zoom, and Sunnex would soon find herself more and more involved with the racing world, and with a new child to boot. After Tyke, the couple went eleven long years before producing additional children.
Sunnex went into labor at the very same time Rover competed in the 1992 Long Beach GP. Rover rushed from the podium to the hospital and just made it in time for delivery.
