Monkey Head Photos

The following photos were taken by me, (Nathan Yuen) on Saturday, April 18, 1998 during a hike with Gary and Wing to expore the two monkey-head formations reported to exist on the part of Koko Crater overlooking Hawaii Kai.

Here is a picture of an interesting rock formation in the shape of a monkey's head which can be seen about half-way up Koko Crater. It's actually quite large--about 30 feet high and the caves which form its eyes appear to be large enough for someone to squeeze inside.
And here is a picture of Koko Crater from Hawaii Kai where a large monkey head is reported to exist. The higher arrow points to the forehead of the simian and the lower arrow points to the beast's snout. The distance at which this shot was taken and the graininess of the photo may be responsible for obscuring the vividness of this image.
