Welcome To Jumpin J's collector's page . As a hobby I have been a collector
of " live & rare " recordings since I was a young kid ( not that
I still ain't one ). There was always something about hearing unreleased
outtakes & live shows of my favorite artists that I have always enjoyed so
much. If you are just starting a collection of live & studio rarities there are
a few things you should know ( if you don't already ) about bootleg
collecting.
- They ain't cheap, Most live & rare cd's sell for $25 and up, and sometimes
I mean way up.
- They're getting harder and harder to find due to new copyright laws
in most countries.
- They are printed in limited small pressings and usually go out of print
very quickly.
- They are never meant to compete with a artists official releases. Bootlegs
pressed in small quanities of a show are no major threat to a artist but
always buy the artists official releases before buying the boots.
Bootleg releases are for the die hard fans who have everything the artist
has already put out.
It has taken me years of hard searching to find everything I have in my
collection and I'm still searching. So over the years my collection has
been growing with some very cool stuff and a lot of people have been asking
me to make tapes for them (as I will not part with my disc's), so I have
listed what I have and this how it works :
TRADES : I would be intrested in trading audio's listed on my page for
good quality bootleg videos from the same kind of bands that are featured on
my list. I would give 2 audio tapes for 1 video. I would also be intrested in
trading audio's for any bootleg cd's that someone is willing to part with . I
would give 5 audio tapes worth of anything on my page for every one cd traded.
I am not intrested in tape for tape trades as all recordings I own are on
cd which is what I like collecting besides video.
If there's nothing to trade I can fill up a 90 minute high bias tape for
$10,or 2 or more tapes for $9 each. This charge would be for the costs of
the tapes, padded envelope, postage and my time for getting everything
together, driving to the post office & standing in line. The music is FREE .
This is not a business or a company in any way, I am a private collector
looking to build my collection bigger so trades are prefered. Anything new I
find will be posted on my list ( which should be often ) .
Most recordings I have are of a very good sound quality but some are for
serious collectors only. If you want a rating on the sound quality or if
