Yes, I am interested in those thing but
isn't every man?
(and even most women?)
Besides these things, I guess my major interest
is in
computers and using them. The computer I'm
writing
this on is one I 'built' from various components
(a case,
power supply, mother board, cpu, sound card,
video
card, and so on). I currently run Windows
98 on it and
it runs great (it doesn't crash more than
two or three
times a day in heavy use)! I expect, though,
that I will
upgrade to Windows ME (Millenium Edition)
when it
comes out in September; from what I've read
about
it, it should be a good stabile operating
system (I hope).
Primarily, I use my computer to 'surf' the
World Wide
Web, exchange e-mail and participate in a
few usenet
news groups (usually anonymously). I
normally use
Netscape Communicator, for this, for the most
part but,
in some few instances, I also use Microsoft's
Internet
Explorer and Outlook Express.
Besides accessing the internet, I like to 'putter
around'
with graphic images (pictures). I have several
Graphic
Programs and use them to originate and/or
manipulate
graphics for myself and others.
I also 'putter around' a bit with sound files
and spend
some time transferring songs from my collection
of old
reel-to-reel tapes to the modern day Compact
Disks.
I do a little programming, on occasion, mostly
in BASIC
and Assembly Language, to produce various
utilities that
I need when I can't find appropriate utililties
that someone
else wrote.
Next, I guess, I like to read; mostly mysteries.
I also like
science fiction and war stories particularly
those about
espionage and sabotage.
I also like to watch a good movie. Some of
my favorite
stars are Leslie Caron, Charles Bronson, Clint
Eastwood,
Alec Guinness,Angela Lansbury, Maureen O'Hara,
Frank Sinatra, David Suchet, and John Wayne,
