And of course...this list is subject to change as time goes progresses.
This is the list of Jackie Chan movies that I recommend seeing. The list
is in alphabetical order and NOT ranked in any way.

MY CRITERIA OF SELECTION:
|
I prefer Jackie Chan movies that have a lot of martial arts fighting (i.e.
hand-to-hand, traditional weapons, and/or improvised weapons). I also like his
stunts but not nearly as much as his choreographed fights. The folks in Hollywood can perform some of the greatest stunts but their fight scenes pale in comparison to the Hong Kong martial arts action seen in Mr. Chan's films.
Don't even mention Jean Claude Van Damme's... I might lose my lunch.
I understand that Jackie Chan movies don't appeal to everyone but if they didn't appeal to you in some way then you probably wouldn't be reading this right now. I admit that his brand of comedy gets a bit corny and his style of comedy mixed with action IS NOT generally familiar to American audiences. This genre may hinder some but intrigue others. But suffice it to say...Jackie Chan films have become very popular in many countries around the world in the past couple decades. The man aims to please his audience with a whole array of outrageous stunts, fights, and miscellaneous action sequences. His films usually don't contain deep political message because they were meant to be simple and entertaining. In other words... eye candy. My recommendation is to sit back and enjoy Jackie Chan. Don't spend too much time analyzing the plots because they can be very thin. Mr. Chan wants you to have FUN watching his films. |
I don't recommend you BUYING these titles. Rent it if you want to see
it for yourself.
Don't say I didn't warn you........

| There are a few more movies that I don't like but I didn't think they deserve to be grouped with the "worst" bunch. Maybe I'll make an intermediate list later. | ||
