Hawaii voters have spoken and some of the most rabid, ultra-conservative tools of the Religious Right were tossed out of the state capitol.
Sentors David Matsuura (Big Island), Jan Yagi Buen (Maui), and Jonathan Chun (Kauai) lost to liberal Democratic challengers in last night's primary election.
Former Representative Lei "Jesus loves me more" Ahu Isa lost her bid for the senate to a Republican challenger.
Other conservative represenatatives losing their seats in the house were Terry Yoshinaga and Nobu Yonamine.
In the race for Governor, Republican candidate Linda Lingle smashed ultra-Right John Carroll and Democrat Mazie Hirono just edged our man Ed Case.
Our liberal friend Matt Matsunaga overwhelmed the competition in the Democrat race for Lieutenant Governor; while former judge Duke Aiona bested the Republican field.
