This page describes how to setup Putty to connect to LavaNet through a secured shell
Download Putty and save it to your desktop. On the Putty download page click on the"putty.exe" link under the "For Windows 95, 98, ME, NT and 2000 on Intel x86."
Double Click the "Putty" icon on your desktop.
In the "Host Name" field type: shell.lava.net
Click the bullet for "SSH"
In the "Saved Sessions" text box type: LavaNet
Click the "Save" button. You should see a new entry named LavaNet
To use Putty double click "LavaNet".
On the first connection to any secured host you will see an alert. After clicking the "Yes" button a copy of the host's key is copied to your computer. You should not see this window the next
Congratulations, you now have secured access to your LavaNet shell account!
