This page describes how to Configure Mac OS 7.6 - 9.2 TCP/IP for DSL via DHCP
Prerequisite: You will need to have a properly installed and working Network Interface Card (NIC). Start Here
- Double click on Macintosh HD.
- Double click on System Folder.
- Double click the Control Panel.
Open TCP/IP
- Double click the TCP/IP Control Panel.
- In the "Connect Via" field, select "Ethernet".
- In the "Configure field" select "Using DHCP Server".
- Erase all other fields.
- Close the TCP/IP window.
- A message will pop up: "Save changes to the current configuration?". Select "Save".
- Close all the other windows.
- You have completed configuring your Mac to use DSL for LavaNet!
- Click on the "Special" menu and select "Restart".
- After your mac has restarted, your Internet applications such as email and your web browser should be able to access the Internet automatically.
