IMAP: Netscape 6 and 7 for Macintosh

This page descrbes how to setup Netscape 6 and 7 for IMAP on Macintosh

• Open Netscape.
• Click on "Edit" and then "Mail & Newsgroup Account Settings...."
• Click on "New Account."

• Choose "ISP or email provider" and click "Next."
• If you are configuring Netscape 7, Choose "Email Account" and click "Next."

• Enter your name in the "Your Name:" field.
• Enter your email address in the "Email Address:" field and click "Next".

• Choose "IMAP" under "Select the type of incoming server you are using."
• Enter "imap.lava.net" as the incoming server.
• Enter "smtp.lava.net" as the outgoing server and click "Next".

• Enter your username in the "User Name:" field. Your username is the part of your email address before '@lava.net'.
• Click "Next."

• Click "Next."

• Click "Next."

• Click "Finish" and "OK."

• Click on "Server Settings."
• In the "Server Settings" box, check "Use secure connection (SSL).

Click "OK"

Your email is now configured on Netscape!!
