LavaNet DSL via Static IP using Macintosh OS X Text Only Instructions
To configure Mac OS X for DSL access, choose System Preferences from the Apple menu and follow the instructions outlined below.
- From the "Apple" menu, choose "System Preferences".
- Click the "Network" icon.
- Click the arrow box on the "Show" drop-down menu and choose "Built-In Ethernet". If not, choose "Advanced" and check "Built-in Ethernet"
- Under "Show", select "Built-in Ethernet".
- Click on "TCP/IP" tab.
- Click the arrow box on the "Configure" drop-down menu and choose "Manual" .
Note: If you do not have the following information or need assitance please call our technical support
- In the "IP Address" field, enter your IP address. Example: "64.65.64.197"
- In the "Subnet Mask" field, enter your Subnet Mask. Example: "255.255.255.192"
- In the "Router" field, enter your Gateway address. Example: "64.65.64.193"
- In the "Domain Name Servers" field, enter the following DNS server addresses:
- 64.65.64.1
- 64.65.64.65
- In the "Search Domains" field, enter "lava.net".
- Click "Save" to finish the configuration.
- Close the "Network" window.
- Restart your computer.
