CGI Clickable MapsBelow are two "Clickable Maps" of the Hawaiian Islands. The first is done using special tags built-in to the HTML definition of the page. View the source for full details and the example. The second is done with a CGI program on our server, and quite frankly, we consider the first method to be superior. Unless you have very specific requirements that demand a server-side map, we strongly suggest you use the client-side map facility.

[edit] Using Server-Side Maps (OBSOLETE)
[edit] About the Maps ThemselvesClick on an island to get a close-up courtesy of the Tiger.Census.Gov site, which has some very spectacular maps on it. All of the maps that we will initially show you are at the same scale as the map of the Big Island, so if you're wondering why they're so small... that's the reason. We wanted to keep everything in perspective, and besides, you can always zoom in, yes? Ni`ihau and Kaho`olawe do not have their own maps, but are easily reached from the maps of Kaua`i and Maui respectively. |
