| Ginger's primary method of reproduction is by development of baby plantlets
which grow marsupial-like right out of the pouches (bracts) created by
the long, cylindrical flower clusters. |
As the flower fades, and the bracts droop, these miniature gingers fall
to the ground and take root, completing the cycle. Isn't Mother Nature
fascinating? |
