LavaNet will not shutdown or delete active/current email accounts due to congestion problems or to create more space for new accounts.

Phishing scam Sent 3/31 - 4/1/08
The subject is "Upgrade Your Mail Account" and discusses something about webmail account upgrades.

Do not reply to this email and certainly do not supply your password. Your password will otherwise be sent to someone that will compromise your LavaNet account using it to send out more fraudulent emails.

Phishing scam sent 2/18/08
Phishing attempt targeting LavaNet users, Subject::Lava Warning!!! ( Verify Your Account now To Avoid It Closed)
There is a 2nd phishing email that was sent out Monday 2/18 with the subject: Lava Warning!!! ( Verify Your Account now To Avoid It Closed). This one appears to be more sophisticated as it uses linked images from our website making it seem genuine. It even has a security verification code feature. The reply to address is "Accounts@Lava.net" . Please follow the advice below from previous phishing scams.

Please delete the email and do not reply to it and certainly do not followits instructions. The email in question is from janebrook@eircom.net and
makes reference to a fake "lava customer care" with reply address
protectalllavanetweb@yahoo.com.
