President's Day Office Schedule
--------------------------------

LavaNet administrative offices will be closed Monday February 19th in observance of the President's Day holiday. Technical Support will be available from 9am to 5pm. All departments will re-open for normal business hours on Tuesday.

February ClearWire Special
-------------------------

Cleawire is offering a special rate of $19.99 for the first 3 months. Additionally, if you sign up for a 2 year contract, not only is the activation fee waived, but you get free Companion Airfare to over 100 Continental cities across the mainland. Clearwire is an excellent alternative to DSL or Cable services and is available in many new areas. Check out the updated coverage area on our website at:

With Clearwire, there is no need for a phone line or cable tv service and costs only $35.99 after the first 3 months! And with the new Car Adapter you can even be connected to the Internet at highspeed while on the road or at a remote location!

LavaNet customers that decide to switch to ClearWire for Internet access can now opt to keep their LavaNet email addresses for only $1.00 a month!

Frame Relay DSL conversion starts in Waikiki
--------------------------------------------
Earlier this year, HiTel notified us they would begin decomissioning all Frame Relay based DSL service in the state of Hawaii. LavaNet currently has over 500 active Frame Relay based DSL users that will be forced to convert by this decision. While there are benefits to upgrading (namely faster available DSL speeds) these users will experience short downtime and require a new ATM based DSL modem. HiTel also let us know of their decision not to provide new ATM modems to customers affected by this forced conversion.

We felt it was HiTel's responsibility to provide the required equipment after their forced upgrade but were unable to convince them otherwise. As such, LavaNet will be providing ATM modems free of charge to customers affected by this upgrade.

The Frame Relay to ATM conversions will be scheduled throughout 2007, with the first batch occurring February 22nd, for our Waikiki area customers. These customers have already been notified directly and should be receiving their ATM modems shortly. A one to two hour downtime can be expected by only these customers during the morning of the 22nd as the conversion occurs.

Upon completion of the conversion, LavaNet will be upgrading all new ATM DSL accounts to the maximum DSL speeds available of 3000kb/768kb at no additional charge.

Email Policy Updated
--------------------
We have made some changes to our Email Policy which can be found at this URL:

There are no major changes to how LavaNet handles email. The changes made are now written into our documented policy to account for the reality of how we have been managing mail since our server upgrades last November. These changes cover such topics as virus treatment, DNS blocklists used, greylisting, and abandoned mailboxes.
