The mission of /newman (Spirit and Life) is to extend the growth of Ignatian Spirituality into the Internet. This spirituality is wholly appropriate for those who are active and involved in the world as disciples of Jesus Christ. It is "lay" spirituality that is also helpful to religious and clergy. The Internet is a valuable medium for letting those who seek spiritual growth to take what they find helpful and use it.
Fr. Randy Roche, SJ is the content coordinator. All content and graphics presented via /Spirit and Life Essays will be reviewed by Fr. Randy. All proposals and materials that anyone submits for publication on /Spirit and Life Essays should go directly to Fr. Randy, preferably by email or other electronic media. Fr. Randy ensures that all materials are appropriate to Ignatian Spirituality as articulated and understood by the California Province of the Society of Jesus .
One or more content providers can provide a valuable flow of materials to Fr. Randy to help keep /Spirit and Life Essays fresh, relevant and interesting. He does not have to be the only one to write and create for this website.
A graphics artist is an invaluable resource for web-page design. The overall design of the website and navigation elements will become more professional looking once a graphics artist joins the /Spirit and Life Essays project.
Anyone who is drawn to do so is invited to join the project in any capacity that is beneficial to it. Please contact Fr. Randy.
