Dr. Luis A. Manrique, the instructor of AG 20/120 Plant Science, holds a PhD in Agronomy and Soil Science from University of Hawaii. Dr. Manrique has conducted research on tropical agriculture for the last 20 years and has published in major agricultural journals. A list of his publications is displayed at http://www.lava.net/manrique/manbio.htm. Presently Luis manages a consulting company specialized in tropical agriculture and landscape management. His company provides technical assistance in tropical agriculture throughout South and Central America and the Pacific Basin. In addition he teaches computer subjects at Hawaii Pacific University and Kapiolani Community College, and World Regional Geography at Central Texas College (Schofield Barracks).
